Heirloom.
An excellent heirloom variety, fruits are yellow, 2-3 inches, and look similar to a lemon. Lemon cucumber fruits are tender, sweet, crispy, juicy and easy to digest. White flesh has excellent flavor that is a bit sweeter than normal cucumbers and they are never bitter. They are excellent eaten fresh, in salads as well as for pickling. Vines are prolific producers that keeps generating fruit late into the season. It is somewhat drought tolerant and very easy to grow. An excellent variety for the novice or the not much time gardener. Can easily be grown in pots. Disease resistant. It does well in short summer climates. Stores well in the refrigerator. A wonderful unique variety to grow!
Sowing: Plant in full sun to partial shade outdoors in spring when all danger of frost is past and soil temperature is warm (Aprrox. 65 degrees F.) Sow seeds 1/2-1 inch deep in well drained soil. Keep seed bed moderately moist during germination. Do not plant late as hot temperatures may preclude good flowering. Or start indoors 3 weeks before last frost.
Germination: 7-14 days Spacing: Space plants 1-2 feet. Space rows 3-6 feet apart and 5 seeds per foot in the row.
Soil: Prefers light, rich, well drained soil with lots of organic matter. Light: Full Sun

Information: Warm season vegetable. Avoid wetting plant. Harvesting regularly will help plant produce prolifically throughout the season! Do not let fruit get too big on the vine or the vines will stop producing.
