World class heirloom variety, Midori Giant is the biggest and earliest edamame available for home gardening.  Determinate bush plants produce heavy yields of 2-3 inch green curvedf pods The pods are filled with 2-3 extra large round buttery sweet flavored seeds. They are rich in nutrients with high levels of protein, calcium and vitamins. They can be boiled or steamed. Midori giant is very easy to grow.  It is great grown in containers or in the garden. Excellent early maturing variety.
Sowing: Plant in full sun outdoors in spring after all danger of frost has passed and soil is warm.  Sow seeds 1 inch deep in moist well drained soil, placing seed on it’s side. Keep seed bed moderately moist during germination but not soaked. If started indoors first, transplant when 2-3 inches in height. Soaking 1-2 hours before planting speeds germination.
